A Message from Fr. Mike
Thank you for visiting this webpage and for your interest in St. Thomas’ “A Future with Hope” capital drive campaign. From this page you can find more information about this campaign and even make your pledge online when you are ready.
Our goal of $1.75 million is bold! If achieved, it will allow us to do two very important things for the short and long term future of St. Thomas. The first $450,000 we receive will go toward replacing the roof over our church and over the two wings that extend out from the church on either side. These roofs are original to the building and often leak.
Second, the remaining $1.3 million will be used to pay off the debt on the Woehler Family Center, dedicated in October of 2019. We pay $98,000 to service our debt currently and have a balloon payment in October of 2031 of the remaining debt. If it isn’t paid off by then, we’ll need to refinance that amount at whatever the current rates are at the time. Eliminating that debt pays us twice – not only would it return the debt service money to our operating budget, but it will also allow us to keep the $75,000 of rental income we receive to further our mission and ministry.
We are prayerfully asking for three year commitments to this effort, remembering that this giving is in addition to your annual gifts to our operating budget.
